Epochly ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information you provide: When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We do not require any other personal information.

Automatically collected information: We use Google Search Console to understand how our site appears in search results. This does not collect personally identifiable information about individual visitors.

Cookies: We store a single cookie to remember your dark/light mode preference. This cookie contains no personal information and is never transmitted to any third party.

2. How we use your information

Your email address is used solely to send you the Epochly Weekly newsletter. We do not use it for any other purpose, do not share it with third parties, and do not sell it under any circumstances.

3. Third-party services

Substack: Newsletter subscriptions are managed via Substack. When you subscribe, your email address is stored on Substack's servers under their privacy policy (substack.com/privacy).

Cloudflare: Our site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) for security and performance purposes under their privacy policy.

Open Exchange Rates: The currency converter tool fetches exchange rate data from open.er-api.com. No personal data is transmitted in these requests.

CartoDB/OpenStreetMap: The historical map uses tile images from CartoDB and OpenStreetMap. Standard server logs may be collected by these providers when map tiles are loaded.

4. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@epochly.com. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.

5. Data retention

We retain newsletter subscriber email addresses until you unsubscribe. Upon unsubscription, your email address is deleted from our mailing list within 30 days.

6. Children's privacy

Epochly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
